Play in control

Entering a Bounty competition should be a bit of fun, never a strain. This page sets out the tools that keep you in charge of what you spend, what we do when play stops looking healthy, and where to find free, independent help the moment you want it.

Need to talk to someone today?

You do not have to be in crisis to call, and you do not have to tell us first. Both of these are free, confidential and nothing to do with Bounty.

01

Our commitment

Entering should be fun, fair and affordable. We do not encourage anyone to spend more than they can comfortably lose, and we would far rather lose an entry than take money someone needed elsewhere.

Spending controls built into your account, ready before you ever need them.

Take a break or close your account whenever you want, with no argument.

We watch how accounts are being played and step in when something looks wrong.

Free independent support, signposted clearly and never buried in the small print.

02

What you can spend

Limits we set, for everybody

Β£250

The most any player can pay us by credit card in a calendar month.

No cards

Credit cards are not accepted on instant win competitions at all.

The limit you set yourself

  • Set a monthly spending limit whenever you like, including the moment you register.
  • Choose any figure that suits you. Zero is a valid answer, and it pauses your entries completely.
  • Once it is set, you cannot go past it until the calendar month rolls over, whatever you ask us.

Changing that limit works two different ways

Lowering it
Straight away

A tighter limit applies the second you save it. Protecting yourself should never involve waiting.

Raising it
After 24 hours

A higher limit sits for 24 hours before it takes effect, so the decision is never made in the heat of the moment.

We also look at total spend across your whole account, not just card payments, to make sure what you are playing stays proportionate to it.

03

Taking a break

Three ways to step away, from a short breather to closing the door for good. Ask for any of them through your account or by messaging the team.

01

Short break

1 to 4 weeks

Entries are blocked and every marketing email and text stops. Your account reopens on its own when the break runs out, so there is nothing to remember.

02

Suspension

6 months or longer

You are fully blocked from entering and all marketing stops. It cannot be lifted early, on purpose. Your history stays safe for whenever you come back.

03

Close for good

Permanent

We settle anything still owed to you, then remove your details in line with data protection law. This one cannot be undone.

04

How we spot trouble

Our systems look for the patterns that tend to show up before real harm does. We would rather ask one awkward question early than leave somebody struggling in silence.

Spending that lands right up against your limit, month after month.

Ticket buying that climbs sharply in a very short space of time.

Asking us to raise or reset a limit again and again.

Signs of distress in messages our support team receives.

If we see any of this we may contact you to talk through the options above, or apply a limit ourselves to protect you. It is never a punishment and it is never made public.

05

Where to get help

06

Strictly 18 and over

You must be 18 or over to hold an account or enter any competition. We run age verification checks on accounts and we do not advertise to anyone under 18. If we find an account belonging to somebody underage we close it and return every penny paid in.

We will sort it, no questions asked

Message the team and we will make the change for you. Please include your name, address and date of birth so we can find the right account. We may ask to see ID before we make changes, which protects you as much as it does us.
